Critical feedback key to continuous growth

Feedback is crucial for continuous growth, especially in the corporate world. While some employees, particularly at the associate level, may be hesitant to receive critical feedback, it is valued highly by managing and leadership teams. Having been in the service industry for nearly two decades, I recently witnessed firsthand the significance of feedback during my travels.

During my stay at Lumbini Buddha Garden Resort in Nepal, I shared some concerns with the manager about transport and food. The manager not only appreciated my feedback but also emphasized the importance of addressing issues promptly to prevent negative reviews on social media.

Similarly, in Gorakhpur, the delay in allocating our room by Nirvana Sarovar Portico was compensated by a room upgrade and a complimentary lunch. The Front Office Manager acknowledged the mistake, highlighting the hotel's commitment to learning from feedback and improving the guest experience.

These incidents underscore the value placed on feedback at all organizational levels, whether in KPOs, the hospitality industry, or beyond. It is evident that constructive criticism, no matter how tough, plays a pivotal role in identifying and rectifying shortcomings for continuous enhancement.
